Gangtok: A ceremony of handing and taking-over of charge as the Tibetan Settlement Officer (TSO) of Gangtok was held between the outgoing TSO Dhondup Sangpo and incoming TSO Tsering Damdul on 3 and 4 September 2025 as the former retires from his position.

TSO Tsetan from Kalimpong attended the ceremony as official witness representing the Department of Home, CTA.

The handover of office documents, furniture, and account statements was completed on 3 September. The official handing-over function was held on 4 September at the TSO-Gangtok hall. The event was attended by representatives from local monasteries, the President of the Local Tibetan Assembly, Presidents of the six local Tibetan civil societies, heads of other local administrative bodies, local regional-representatives, and the head of the local community (Kyiduk Nyerpa).
