DHARAMSHALA: A seminar on paramount importance of Tibet’s environment for the security of India, titled “Testing Himalayan Environment and Threats to India’s Security”, will be held in Shimla, the capital of northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
“The Tibetan Parliamentary and Policy Research Centre (TPPRC) and Panchanand Research Insitute will be jointly organising the seminar at D C Budget Bhavan in Shimla on 31 May from 5:30 – 7:30 PM,” said Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok, a senior TPPRC official and member of Tibetan Parliament.
“The key note speakers for the seminar include Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh (Environment); Vijay Kranti, noted journalist and photographer and Tenzin Norbu, head of the Environment and Development Desk of the Central Tibetan Administration,” he said.
