New Delhi: A delegation of researchers from the Tibet Policy Institute led by its deputy director, Tenzin Lekshay attended a seminar organised jointly by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS) and the Shiv Nadar University in Delhi on 23 February, 2018.
Two researchers, Tempa Gyaltsen Zamlha, head of the Environment and Development Desk, Research Fellow, Tibet Policy Institute presented on ‘Why Tibet Matters to the Indian Subcontinent’ and Dr Tenzin Dasel, Research Fellow, Tibet Policy Institute presented on ‘History and Politics of Reincarnation’ and ‘China’s Policies on Tibetan Buddhism.’
The delegation was introduced by Lt Gen Vinod Bhatia, Director of CENJOWS followed by introductory remarks by Dr Kaveri Gill, Associate Professor, Department of International Relations and Governance Studies at the Shiv Nadar University.
Tenzin Lekshay introduced the Tibet Policy Institute and the areas of research undertaken in in the institute. Post presentation, both the Research Fellows engaged in an interactive session.
The seminar was attended by the researchers at CENJOWS, retired military officers based in Delhi and scholars affiliated with academic institutions in Delhi.
