Dharamshala: In response to the request of the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts for the preservation and restoration of Tibetan dance culture, Kyabje Terchen Namkha Drimed Rabjam Rinpoche and Kyabje Jigme Rinchen granted their blessings and encouragement to the teachers of the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, Tenzin Jangchup, Tenzin Yonten, researcher Sonam Tseten, and photographer Tenzin Palden. Over the course of eighteen days, from the 15 January to 1 February 2024, the four studied the Ling dance music of great bliss composed by Mipham Rinpoche and the supplementary chapters composed by the regent Rating Rinpoche. They studied the history, development, melody, dance, and costume of the dance. On 1 February, the teachers from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts attended a long-life empowerment and a mandala offering of gratitude based on the longevity practice of the Vajra Life-Force treasure revealed by Kyabje Terchen Rinpoche. The duo also took part in the lingdro performance presented by the lingdro association.
