Dharamshala: His Holiness the
Dalai Lama presided over the Maha Guru (Bumtsog) prayer ceremony this
morning at the Theckchen Choelling Tsuglag Khang monastery in
Dharamshala.Every year Tibetans organise this prayer for the
long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and for the resolution of the
issue of Tibet.A large number of monks and nuns from different
monasteries and nunneries are attending the five-day prayer ceremony.
The dignitaries of the Central Tibetan Administration, members of
Tibetan parliament-in-exile, representatives of the various NGOs
attended.The prayer ends on 23 September. More Pictures:
