Tibetans mark 60 years of India’s independence

Dharamshala:The Central Tibetan Administration celebrated the 60 years of Indian Independence day at a function held at Kashag Secretariat, here yesterday.
Kalon Tripa Samdhong Rinpoche, education Kalon Thupten Lungrig, secretary and staff members of Kashag gathered in the small courtyard outside Kashag Secretariat to attend the function.
At 9:00 a.m. (local time), Kalon Tripa Samdhong Rinpoche hoisted the Indian tricolor, braving incessant rain, followed by singing of the Indian national anthem.
After the official function, tea and sweets were served to all the officials.
