Paris: More than 1500 people in Paris commemorated the 62nd Tibetan National Uprising Day at Place du Trocadéro in Paris, jointly organized by Tibetan Community France, U-Tsang Association France, Chushigangdruk Association France, Domey Association France, SFT France and RTYC
The chief guest of the event was Ms EMMANUELLE Pierre, Mayor of Paris 12, Mr. ROMERO-MICHEL Jean-Luc, Deputy Mayor of Paris, Ms Audrey Pulvar, Deputy Mayor of Paris attended and assure their support of Tibetan Cause and also reminded that His Holiness is the honorary citizen of city of Paris.
The events started with the singing of Tibetan National Anthem and, Ven. Tenzin Penpa the President of Tibetan Community France delivered a speech on the historical significance of 10 March 1959 and the sufferings of Tibetans in Tibet. Mr. Namgyal Samdup, Secretary of Bureau du Tibet, read out Sikyong statement. The President of France U-Tsang, Chushigangdruk, Domey, SFT and RTYC has given a speech. STF France presents a short drama unfolding Mytre Tashi Nyima protest and suffering thereafter in China Prison.
All the association thanked Mr. Tenpe Dhragyal and Lhari Yeshi by presenting him a khatak. Mr Tenpa had started protest against the Chinese occupation since 1st Day of Losar and the protest continues till 4 pm as France is still in curfew from 6 pm to 6 am.
Tibetan Community Strasbourg organized protest marches starting from Place Kléber leading to the front of the European Union. More than 45 people joined the protest.
