Dharamshala: Tibetans in exile commemorated the 65th Tibetan Uprising Day in solidarity with Tibetans inside Tibet, rallying together with slogans of resistance.
In Mundgod, the Tibetan community gathered to observe the Tibetan Uprising Day. The event was graced by the presence of the Abbot of the Drepung Gomang Monastery, President of the Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society in Mundgod, S. Fakerappa, Abbots, Members of the Tibetan Parliament, President and members of the Local Tibetan Assembly, Settlement Officer, President and members of the Tibetan Freedom Movement, President and Secretary of the Tibetan Cooperative Society, as well as representatives of civil society groups and the general public.
The Settlement Officer and President of the Local Tibetan Assembly read out the statements of the Kashag and Tibetan Parliament, respectively.
Tibetans in Dhargyeling-Tezu, led by Dokham Chushi Gangdruk and Ex-SFF Welfare Association, carried out a peaceful march from the settlement to the market.
In commemoration of the 65th Tibetan National Uprsing Day in Palrabling Tibetan Settlement Office, Kullu Manali, the Tibetan community members organised a peaceful march from Ramshila bridge to Dhalpur ground.
Vice-President of the Municipal council, Chandhan Premi, participated in the remembrance day event as chief guest, along with the special guest Vice chair of the regional Tibet Support Group, Pema Namgyal.
Tibetans in Bangalore, gathered at the TCV Hall to commemorate the Tibetan Uprising Day. Accountant Pasang Dhondup of the Chief Representative Office and Vice-president of the BRDL read out the statements of the Kashag and Tibetan Parliament, respectively during the event.
