Washington DC: As per the guidance from the Central Tibetan Administration, Tibetan Associations in Canada sent a donation of CAD 7800 to the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness, a reputable NGO that works toward ending homelessness in Canada.

In a letter to Tim Ritcher, the President of the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness, Representative Ngodup Tsering mentioned that “The major Tibetan immigration into Canada took place in 2013, and since then many Tibetan families have settled and thrived as productive Canadian citizens. The Central Tibetan Administration and Tibetan people in Canada are very thankful for the opportunity and support the Government and the People of Canada offered to us during their most difficult period in our history. We remain eternally grateful.”

The Tibetan Associations in Canada chose this NGO since the pandemic disproportionately hurt the homeless population because of their lack of shelter.

The following Tibetan Associations donated: Tibetan Cultural Society of British Columbia-Vancouver(CAD 6000), Canada Tibetan Association of Ontario(CAD 1000), Tibetan Association of Alberta (CAD 1000) and 200 CAD was accounted for exchange rate.
