Dharamshala: The Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission (TSJC) is organising a five-day Advocacy Skills Training from December 4-8, 2023 at the Administrative Training Centre, Dharamsala to strengthen key advocacy skills for the Tibetan advocates/lawyers in the Tibetan community.
The sessions are led by instructors Christie Warren who is a professor of the Practice of International and Comparative Law as well as founding Director of the Center for Comparative Legal Studies and Post-Conflict Peacebuilding at William & Mary Law School and John W. Vaudreuil, a former US Attorney. He gave a short introduction and explained the goals of the course to the participants and the latter spoke about their expectations from this training.
Yeshi Wangmo, General Secretary of the TSJC delivered an introductory address explaining the background and objectives of organising this training. Following that, Tenzin Donyo, a senior program officer addressed the participants on behalf of CEELI & IFES.
A total of 21 participants with a legal background including the administrative staff from TSJC, the legal and vigilance officer of Sambhota School, the Tibetan Centre for Conflict Resolution, the Tibetan Legal Association and Law students took part in this training.
