Tibetan Parliament Offers Prayers to Flood Victims in Australia and Brazil[Wednesday, 19 January 2011, 6:40 p.m.]

The Tibetan Parliament in Exile has conveyed its deep condolences to
the people affected by the devastating floods in Australia and Brazil.In
a statement issued by the Tibetan Parliament on 19 January, “The
Parliament in Exile is deeply saddened by the devastating floods, which
hits the part of Queensland in Australia and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil
causing huge loss of life. The Australian flood disaster has claimed at
least 20 lives and considered as the most expensive disaster in
Australian history. Whereas the Brazil’s worst natural calamity in
decades has claimed more than 500 lives and left thousands homeless.””The
Standing Committee of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile offers its deep
condolences to the surviving families and relatives and pray for their
quick emotional and physical recovery.”
