DHARAMSHALA: The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile congratulated US President Barack Obama on his re-election.

In its congratulatory to President Obama, Speaker Penpa Tsering said: “CONGRATULATIONS! On behalf of all the Tibetan people, inside and outside Tibet, the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile wishes to congratulate you on your emphatic re-election.

“During your second term, we pray and hope that all your endeavours would be fulfilled as per your vision. We also hope that Your Excellency will take pro-active involvement in resolving the current deteriorating situation in Tibet and in seeking a lasting solution to the issue of Tibet based on the mutually beneficial Middle Way Approach of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Tibetan Administration-in-Exile.”
