DHARAMSHALA: The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile has congratulated the newly-elected prime minister of Norway, Erna Solberg, and sought her continued support towards finding a lasting solution to the issue of Tibet.
“On behalf of all the Tibetan people, the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile wishes to congratulate you for the emphatic victory in the recent election. We wish you all the success in your endeavours,” Speaker Penpa Tsering said in a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Erna Solberg on 16 September.
“As you are well informed about the situation in Tibet, we seek your continued support in peacefully resolving the ongoing crisis in Tibet and a lasting solution to the long standing issue of Tibet,” the letter noted.
