Tibetan Assembly to Meet for its Second Session

Dharamshala: The Assembly of the Tibetan People’s Deputies (ATPD) will meet again from 30th September to 7th October 2006 for its winter session here.
This is the second session of the 14th Tibetan Assembly since its opening this June.
During the session Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, who was elected again to be the Kalon Tripa of the Central Tibetan Administration, will appoint his Kalons and will seek approval of the assembly members.
If majority of the assembly members approve Kalon Tripa’s decision, then he will form his Kashag (cabinet) and will hold the office for five years.
