
Dharamshala: The Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR), Central Tibetan Administration, hosted its annual interactive luncheon for Tibetan and local Indian journalists from various media houses on 22 February 2026 at Hotel Bhagsu in McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Deputy Secretary Tenzin Phende, who expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all attendees on behalf of the department.
This was followed by remarks from Additional Secretary Namgyal Tsewang, the Bureau Chief of the Central Tibetan Administration, who outlined the objectives of the annual interactive luncheon. He implored for continued media coverage of the Tibetan cause and called for sustained support from journalists and media organisations.
More than 20 journalists representing various media outlets participated in the event, including ANI, Anant Gyan, bod.asia, Dev Bhoomi News Times, Getty Images, India News TV, MHome News, NC, Phayul, Punjab Kesari, Radio Free Asia (Tibetan), PTI TV, The Print, Tibet Radio, Tibet Times, tibet.com, tibet.net, Tibet TV, Siddhivinayak Times, and 4 Star News.
The annual interactive luncheon is organised each year by the Department of Information and International Relations to foster greater engagement, dialogue, and collaboration between Tibetan and local Indian media professionals.
