Dharamshala: The Tibet Information Society held its 6th annual general body meeting at DIIR’s Lhakpa Tsering Memorial Hall on Thursday, 31 March. The main agenda of the meeting was to appoint new members and elect new governing body of the society. The new governing body of the society include Kalon Norzin Dolma as President, DIIR Secretary Karma Choeying as the General Secretary, DIIR Accountant Thaye Choedon as the Treasurer, while DIIR Additional Secretary Tenzin Lekshay has been appointed as a new member.
The meeting discussed approval of the society’s 2022-23 budget, publication of books including biography of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and the inauguration of the new Tibet museum at T building in Gangchen Kyishong, and the closure of the old Tibet Museum at McLeod Ganj.
