BANGALORE: The Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR) of the Central Tibetan Administration is organising a three-day workshop on the Middle Way Approach (UMAYLAM) from 13-15 of November.

A total of twenty-two Tibetan college students from Bangalore are participating in the workshop. The aim of the workshop is to boost awareness on the Middle Way Approach among Tibetan college going students.

Mr. Tashi Phuntsok, Information Secretary of DIIR delivered a speech on the importance of acknowledging the immense contribution of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to the world in general and the Tibetan people in particular. “Keeping in mind how a boy of 16 years old took the responsibility of an entire nation,we should feel grateful to His Holiness,” he said.

Over fifty students attended the talk. The talk was followed by a brief question/answer session.

The three day workshop is being conducted by Mr. Tsering Wangchuk, Mr. Jamchhen and facilitated by Ms. Tenzin Tashi of DIIR.
