The truth of Tibet will prevail: His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Dharamshala: On the margins of
the ten-day teaching on 3 March, a joint association of Lithang Tenshug
Committee, Gaden Choekhor Ling Monastery and Gu-Chu-Sum (Ex-Political
Prisoners Association), offered long life offering to His Holiness the
Dalai Lama.

His Holiness lauded the pure bond of commitment and devotion of the
Tibetans in offering him the long life prayer. “On my part, I will
offer prayers to live together with you for a long time and the truth
of Tibet, will eventually prevail,” His Holiness added.

Speaking to the people of Lithang, His Holiness said the place
have had a special relation since the time of seventh Dalai Lama.” His
Holiness added: “It was also the first place, when Tibetans resist the
onset of unfair act of causing suffering and torture by the Chinese.”

Lauding the recent acts of Tibetans with indomitable integrity
and determination in Lithang, His Holiness said, these efforts are
aimed for the cause of Tibet, and are not done for any personal
interest.

Also present at the ceremony were top officials of the Central Tibetan Administration.

His Holiness conferred the annual spring teachings on Lord
Buddhas 34 Jataka Tales (kay-rab so-shi) and Dhammapada (tsom) from 21
– 3 March.
