Dharamshala: There are many differences in opinion regarding the Middle-Way Approach. Some people think that our struggle for genuine autonomy under the People’s Republic of China is like renouncing the historical fact, said Gyari Lodi Gyaltsen, special envoy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, at a talk to the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) staff.
Yet the Middle-Way Approach is the most pragmatic solution to the issue of Tibet, he added.
The talk was organised by the Public Service Commission, CTA.
Regarding the Sino-Tibetan dialogue process, he said that he and his colleagues had vigorous debates to the proposal for resolving the issue of Tibet in all rounds of talk with Chinese counterparts.
He said that he believes the talks between Dharamshala and Beijing have deepened the Chinese government’s understanding of the Middle-Way Approach.
He concluded the talk urging all the civil servants to contribute their best at this crucial stage of our common cause.
