Dharamshala: The seventh session of the 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-exile concluded today following ten days of comprehensive deliberations and discussions on finalizing CTA’s budget allocation for the fiscal year 2019 to 2020.
This year’s budget session approved a consolidated budget of INR 2,50,56,63,798 proposed by the Kashag for the activities of the various departments and offices of the Central Tibetan Administration.
Of the total budget approved for CTA departments and offices, the highest allocation i.e. 560.28 million rupees was earmarked for the Department of Education.
Likewise, the Department of Home was allotted with 523.74 million rupees; The Department of Heath with 206.33 million rupees; Department of Religion and Culture with 115.39 million rupees; Department of Finance and its offices with 359.70 million rupees and the Department of Information and International Relations was allocated 61.88 million rupees for the fiscal year 2019 to 2020.
The 7th session was convened from 19 to 29 March 2019.
