
West Kameng: The Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement Office held an inauguration ceremony on 14 March 2026 to mark the completion of three construction and renovation projects. These included the renovation of a crèche supported and financed by the Department of Home of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), as well as the construction of two new settlement gateways and the renovation of the community hall, both generously funded and supported by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
Additional Secretary Thupten Tsering from the Department of Home inaugurated the renovated crèche. Later that day, Shri Tseten Chombay, MLA of the Kalaktang Assembly Constituency, inaugurated the two gateways and the newly renovated community hall, which were funded by the state government.
Following the inaugurations, a gathering was held in the newly renovated community hall. Tibetan Settlement Officer Rabten Tsering delivered the welcome address. Additional Secretary Thupten Tsering, speaking on behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration, expressed gratitude to the Government of India and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for their continued support toward the well-being of the Tibetan community and appealed for their sustained assistance in the future.
The Chief Guest, MLA Tseten Chombay, spoke about the unique historical relationship between Arunachal Pradesh and Tibet. He also highlighted the support extended by the state government to the Tenzingang Settlement and shared future plans for further development.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Tashi Rabten, President of the Local Tibetan Assembly.
