June 28th, 2017 Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh – Tibetan Entrepreneurship Development (TED), an initiative of the Department of Finance, Central Tibetan Administration has successfully organized its 3rd Business Plan Competition among the Pre-Incubation Training Recipients.
The aim of the Business Plan Competition for start-ups was to evaluate and select the most promising entrepreneurs and recognize their potential to generate employment, create social impact while at the same time scaling-up their business beyond the community.
This year, TED has selected six entrepreneurs for the pre-incubation training and all the entrepreneurs has successfully completed five weeks of intensive business development training at Jindal Center for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship (JSiE), O.P Jindal Global University, Sonipat. In order to start their ventures, TED organized business plan competition on 28th June 2017 among the six entrepreneurs and the panel of Juries has unanimously decided to provide INR 2 Lakhs each to the entrepreneurs however the amount will be disbursed in accordance with the milestone set by the juries as per individual business.
Among the Juries, Mr. Thubten Samdup (Former Representative of office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, London), Dr. Kunchok Tsundue (Chief Planning Officer, Department of Finance) and Mr. Tsewang Rigzin (Former Deputy Director, The Tibet Fund).
The selected entrepreneurs were Mr. Tamding Kyab (Co-Founder-Dachompa Tech LLP), Mr. Kalsang Dhondup (Co-Founder-ALPHA Tours & Travel), Mr. Ngawang Yeshi (Founder-DrongmaTech Solution), Mr. Tsering Lhachok (Founder-Tsongra.com), Mr. Jampel Yeshi (Founder-Zoowiemama) and Mr. Ngawang Lodoe (Founder-Drawu Mushroom).
