Dharamshala (TibetNet): Yesterday His Holiness the Dalai Lama participated in a seminar on the philosophy of the four Buddhist traditions in Tibet held at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies.
In his keynote address, His Holiness the Dalai Lama said that although each school of Tibetan Buddhism has its respective tradition, we should study the traditions of all four schools. If one person is Sakya, he or she should not confine only to the Sakya’s central teachings. Instead he or she should study and learn other schools’ traditions and teachings.
From 10 to 12 February, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will participate in an international conference on Buddhism in Asia: challenges and prospects, organised by the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies.
His Holiness is also expected to address the inaugural of 3-day international conference.
