State Chief Minister Releases Book on His Holiness the Dalai LamaSaturday, 25 July 2009, 10:46 a.m.

Dharamshala: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal on Friday released the book titled ‘Dalai Lama: A Study’ authored by educationist Som P Ranchan in the state capital Simla.In the book the author peeps into the personality of His Holiness the Dalai Lama as a spiritual leader, religious preacher and leader of Central Tibetan Administration, an official release said.The chief minister congratulated the author for bringing out a publication, which would go a long way in helping the research scholars in carrying more intensive research in Buddhism and those writing on the personality of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.He said that it has always been a pleasure and a dream come true opportunity, for any person to share some moments with His Holiness and be blessed. He said that the experiences of the author about His Holiness shared in the book were different to the others who wrote about his personality. He appreciated the endeavour of the author to write on different aspects and bring out suitable publication to share the same with the readers. (Compiled from PTI and North India Times reports)
