Brussels: An exclusive online lobby day is being organised on April 19 by the International Campaign for Tibet (ICT), Europe in association with Tibet Interest Group (TIG) of the European Parliament.
The day-long programme will be participated by six Tibetans in Europe. They are from Poland, France, Belgium, Sweden, Ireland and the Netherlands.
The earlier planned actual lobbying training had to be done virtually given the unending pandemic and lockdown in Europe.
The morning session will be practical training and briefing by ICT staff, including Ms Tsering Jampa, Executive Director, ICT, and others.
Representative Tashi Phuntsok will speak on CTA’s Foreign Policy, Responsibilities of the Office of Tibet in Brussels and the Middle Way Approach.
The afternoon will be devoted to discussion with members of TIG in the European Parliament, led by Mr Mikulas Peksa, President. Mr Vincent Metten, EU Policy Director, ICT will moderate the session.
MEP Peksa and Representative Tashi Phuntsok will make the concluding remarks.
