
DHARAMSHALA: Mr. Penpa Tsering, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, yesterday met with a group of visiting students from the Woodstock International School at the Tibetan Parliamentary secretariat.
The students are in Dharamshala as part of an educational trip to learn Tibetan culture, Tibetan history, Tibetan Buddhism and the current political situation inside Tibet.
During their brief interaction, Speaker Penpa Tsering spoke to the students about the procedures and sessions of the Tibetan Parliament and the democratic system of electing the members of the Tibetan Parliament. He also spoke about the critical situation prevailing inside Tibet at the moment.
Most of the students participating in the educational trip are visiting Dharamshala for the first time.
