DHARAMSHALA: Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay will leave Dharamsala tomorrow for a 5-day visit to Tibetan settlements in Bandara, Chattisgarh and Odisha in India, from 1-5 August. The Sikyong’s visit is part of the Kashag’s effort to keep the general public abreast of the policies of and efforts being made by the Central Tibetan Administration on all aspects of the issue of Tibet.
Sikyong will visit Norgyeling settlement in Bandara from 1-2 August, Phendeling settlement in Mainpat from 2-3 August, and Phuntsokling settlement in Odisha from 4-6 August. He will give public address and visit schools during these visits.
Sikyong is also scheduled to meet with members of a Tibet Support Group in Nagpur on 1 August.
He will return to Dharamsala on 6 August.
