DHARAMSHALA: Tibetan political leader (Sikyong) Dr. Lobsang Sangay left Dharamshala yesterday to attend conferences and meetings in New Delhi, Germany and the US.

Sikyong is scheduled to meet important officials in New Delhi from 22 – 24 August.

On 26 August, Sikyong will attend the celebrations of the 35th and 25th anniversaries of the Tibetan community in Germany and the Tibet Initiative Deutschland respectively in Hamburg.

He will also attend the Sino-Tibetan conference in Hamburg on 27 August. The conference will be attended by Chinese intellectuals, activists, writers, Sinologists from Europe, US, Asia and Australia.

Following the conference, Sikyong will visit Boston where he will meet academicians on 28 August.

During his visit to Washington DC from 29 – 30 August, Sikyong will address the Tibetan community and the meeting of North American Tibetan Association.

Sikyong will will be back in Dharamshala on 1 September.
