DHARAMSHALA: On July 3rd, Honorable. Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay will give the keynote address at the upcoming conference Simla Convention After a Hundred Years organized by the prestigious India International Centre (IIC) in coordination with Tibet Policy Institute in New Delhi.
The Chief Guest at the conference will be senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi. Other honored guests include Dr. Kapila Vatsyayan, Chair of IIC and Shri Ram Madhav who is the national spokesperson of Rashtryia Sevak Sangh and author of the book “Uneasy neighbours” on China, India and Tibet.
On July 6th, Hon. Sikyong will preside over the official ceremony of the 79th birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Dharamsala with Chief Guest Shri G S Bali, Minister of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, government of Himachal Pradesh.
On July 7th, Hon. Sikyong will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the ‘Tibet Festival’ in Bangalore organized by the Tourism ministry of the Karnataka Government, and the Department of Home, CTA. Home Kalon Gyari Dolma and Shri R.V Deshpande, Honorable Minister for Higher Education and Tourism will inaugurate the festival.
After that, on July 8th and 9th, Hon. Sikyong will visit Dhondenling Tibetan settlement, Kollegal as part of the Middle Way Policy awareness campaign.
Hon. Sikyong at the invitation of the Ladakh Buddhist Association and other organizations will attend the Kalachakra initiation at Leh, Ladakh on July 10th and return to Dharamsala on July 14th.
