DHARAMSHALA: Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay left Dharamshala on 31 October for Guwahati to attend the 5th All India Tibet Support Group meeting taking place in the city from 2 – 3 November.
Sikyong will deliver the inaugural address of the meeting on 2 November and will return to Dharamshala on 3 November.
Delegates from 182 Tibet support groups across India are currently participating in the meeting. The meeting will discuss the issues facing Tibet primarily the environmental destruction taking place inside Tibet, which have severe repercussions in neighboring and downstream India.
