
DHARAMSHALA Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay today spoke to a group of visiting Tibetan students studying in Namgyal high school in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The students are in Dharamshala as part of an educational tour to visit the Central Tibetan Administration and other educational and political institutes in the area.
During his interaction with the students, Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay highlighted the Central Tibetan Administration’s emphasis on the advancement of Tibetan education and the critical need to preserve the rich Tibetan language.
He described education as the Kashag’s most important domestic priority and the various scholarships and initiatives introduced by the department of education to achieve this vision.
Sikyong’s talk was followed by a brief question answer session.
The visiting group consisted of thirty Tibetan students and two teachers.
