DHARAMSHALA: On the sidelines of the on-going two-day ‘Introduction to Buddhism for Tibetan Youths’ by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay spoke to over 1,000 school and college students at the TCV school.

Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay spoke about the importance of education and leadership among the youth to succeed in life. He noted the outstanding results produced by the outgoing class 12 students and encouraged the current students to study hard.

People from ordinary backgrounds have achieved great things in life with vision and action, therefore its important to have a vision, strategy and action to succeed in life, he said.

Sikyong Dr Sangay also said that while modern education may bring material well-being, it doesn’t give you inner happiness. Therefore, it is important be a good person by generating genuine love, compassion and kindness, the basic human values espoused by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
