Dharamshala: Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration had a series of meetings with high-level foreign delegates who are visiting Dharamshala as official guests for the commemoration of Tibetan National Uprising Day tomorrow.
On Wednesday, Sikyong met with the delegation of the European Parliament comprising MEP Mikuláš Peksa, MEP Salima Yenbo, MEP Hannes Heide, and MEP Aušra Maldeikienė who are accompanied by Parliamentary Assistants Samuel V Samuel Vančo, Tomas Adamec, Martina Tesseri, Eduard Aleix Sarri Camargo and Representative Rigzin C. Genkhang. Later in the day, he met with the president of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) Damon Wilson who was accompanied by NED India’s staff Mona Dave and Pema Tulotsang, Senior Program Officer.
During those two meetings, Sikyong discussed CTA’s political and socio-economic endeavours while outlining the administration’s plans and future course of action.
Today, Sikyong met with the delegation comprising Lithuanian parliamentarian Arunas Valinskas who was accompanied by Representative Sonam Frasi, Office of Tibet London and Mexican parliamentarians consisting of MP Lidia Garcia Anaya, MP Dulce Maria Corina, MP Ines Parra Juarez, MP Salvador Caro Cabrera, MP Maria Elena Limon Garcia, MP Ma Teresa Rosaura Ochoa Mejia, MP Julieta Mejia Ibanez, MP Lidia Perez Barcenas, MP Jose Miguel De La Cruz Lima. The visiting delegation was accompanied by Parliamentary Assistants Raul Jose Mejia Gonzalez, Adriana del Carmen Zuniga Guerrero, Karla Sofia Torres Pesquera, Renata Kroeff (Interpreter), and Denise Mara Silva Robson. Their visit to Dharamshala is organised by the Office of Tibet Latin America headed by Representative Jigme Tsering.
