Dharamshala: Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) wrote to the newly elected Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, congratulating him on the new position who took an oath as the 15th Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, on 11 December in Shimla.
Extending his heartfelt felicitations on behalf of CTA and the Tibetan people, Sikyong said, “I am confident that under your capable leadership, the state of Himachal Pradesh will continue to see great progress”.
He further wrote, “We remain greatly indebted to the government and the people of Himachal Pradesh for their support and generosity in providing His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and a significant number of Tibetan people with a second home while allowing the CTA to carry out its function from Dharamshala” and wished him a sound health during his tenure at the CM’s office.
Sikyong also expressed his desire to personally congratulate the new CM on behalf of the CTA and the Tibetan people in the near future.
