Dharamshala: Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration arrived at Leh, Ladakh to a warm reception today at 11:00 am from Dharamshala via Jammu.
Sikyong is welcomed at Kusho Bakula Rinpoche airport at Leh by Thupten Tsewang, former Indian MP and current President of the Ladakh Buddhist Association, Tsering Dorjay Lakrook, former Indian MP, Ven Jampa Shedup, President, Gonpa Association, Dhondup Tashi, Tibetan MP, Tsetan Wangchuk, Chief Representative Officer, Dhondup Tsering, Chairman of Local Tibetan Assembly, Lobsang, Secretary of Local Justice Commission, and Chodar, President of Regional Tibetan Freedom Movement.
From the airport, Sikyong went to Shiwa Tsel Phodrang where a luncheon was served. Following lunch, Sikyong visited the Tibetan Chief Representative’s office, office of the Federation Tibetan Co-operatives in India (FTCI), the local Tibetan Assembly, Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) School, local Mentseekhang clinic, local Tibetan healthcare center, local Tibetan Justice Commission, etc.
