Dharamshala: On 3 December 2021, Sikyong Penpa Tsering met with Shri Anand Vardhan, Additional Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand at the latter’s office to thank the Uttarakhand government for their longstanding support and urged for full implementation of Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy, as well as highlighting issues faced by Tibetans in Uttarakhand. Sikyong was accompanied by Dehradun Settlement Officer Dhondup Gyalpo and Herbertpur Settlement Officer Tsultrim Dorjee.

Following the meeting with Additional Chief Secretary, Sikyong Penpa Tsering also paid visit to the Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand Shri Sukbhir Singh Sandhu in the evening of the same day. During the meeting, Sikyong thanked the Government of Uttarakhand for the support rendered towards the Tibetan community in the state.
