Dharamshala: Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration congratulated Vice-President elect of India, Jagdeep Dhankar on his sweeping victory on Saturday, 6 August.

“On behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration and the Tibetan people, I am pleased to convey our sincere congratulations on your election as the 14th Vice President of the  Republic of India,” Sikyong writes while expressing gratitude for the relentless support and generosity of the  government and people of India in enabling the Tibetan community to thrive and flourish.

“I am confident that the nation will benefit significantly from your decades of public service and leadership. As you take charge of the High Office, we look forward to your continued support  for the welfare of the Tibetan community and, most importantly, our pursuit of a  speedy resolution to the Sino-Tibet conflict” he added.
