Sikyong Concludes Visit to Kullu Manali Palrabling Settlement

Kullu Manali: Sikyong Penpa Tsering concluded his official visit to Kullu Manali Palrabling Settlement with a visit to the cluster communities, monasteries, and an address to the Tibetan community.

Earlier this morning, Sikyong paid visits to Kullu Youlokoe Tibetan colony and Bhuntar Phuntsok Rabtenling followed by a visit to Druk Dechen Choekhorling. During the visit, Sikyong made assessments of the expenditure for infrastructure requirements such as the embankment. He also directed the Settlement Officer and Home Department representatives to take appropriate actions.

In the afternoon, he paid visits to Palpung Yeshi Rabgyeling nunnery and addressed the Tibetan community in and around Kullu Manali. In his public talk, he spoke on a wide range of issues, namely, the need for proper documentation, importance of learning Tibetan history to challenge the false narrative of China and inform the world, the sustenance of the exile Tibetan community and the long-term sustenance of the Tibetan movement.

Following the talk, Sikyong left for Mandi.

Sikyong Penpa Tsering arrived in Mandi to a warm welcome. He was received by Mandi Settlement Officer Tenzin Tsultrim, Mandi Deputy Mayor Virender Bhatt, Chair & Vice Chair and members of Local Tibetan Assembly, Rangden Tsogchung, representative from the local Tibetan market, Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch and staff of the settlement office.

On 15 May, Sikyong will visit Pandoh Tashiling Tibetan settlement, and local Tibetan market at Mandi.
