Norway: Sikyong Penpa Tsering who is currently visiting Norway on second leg of his Europe tour was hosted at the Norwegian parliament, where he met and engaged with Norwegian parliamentarians from different political parties.
In his meeting with the Norwegian Green Party parliamentarian Rasmus Hansson, Member of the Standing Committee on Business and Industry, Conservative Party parliamentarian Ingjerd Schou, Member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence and Liberal Party Parliamentarian Ola Elvestuen, Member of the Standing Committee of Energy and Environment, Sikyong apprised the parliamentarians of the current situation inside Tibet, including the ongoing implementation of state-run colonial boarding schools. He also extended standing invitation to the parliamentarians to visit Dharamshala.
Following the meeting, Sikyong met with former Member of Tibetan Parliament for Europe and former Representative Chungdak Koren la at the hotel before leaving for airport for Copenhagen, Denmark. In Denmark – the third leg of the tour, Sikyong will be engaging with MPs and think tanks, Tibet supporters and meet the Tibetan community.
