DHARAMSHALA: Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay of the Central Tibetan Administration graced the 12th annual Baal Mela at Nagrota as the special guest of the organising committee.

The fair known as ‘Baal Mela’ was organised on 27 and 28 July to coincide with the birthday of state minister, Mr G S Bali, Honourable Minister of Food and Civil Supplies, Transport and Technical Education of the Himachal Pradesh government, who is a native of Nagrota region.  Sikyong met the minister and expressed his heartfelt greetings on his birthday on the occasion.

Sikyong took part in the distribution of smart canes for the blind and the visually impaired during the fair.  Other events at the fair include free medical camps and musical performances by Bollywood singers.
