DHARAMSHALA: Mr Ngodup Dorjee Shingchen, currently serving as the Secretary of SARD, Department of Finance, CTA has been appointed as the new Representative for Office of Tibet, South Africa.
As per the circular issued by the Kashag, he is to take over the charges from out-going Representative Mrs Nangsa Choedon when the necessary documents are issued by the concerned government.
The current Representative Nangsa Choedon has been appointed as the Information secretary of Department of Information and International Relations, CTA.
A brief bio data of Mr Ngodup Dorjee
Mr Ngodup Dorjee has completed B. Sc from North Point College, Darjeeling under the University of North Bengal in 1982, PG Diploma in Rural Development Studies from Xavier Institute of Social Services, Ranchi in 1986 and M.Sc. in Regional Development Planning from University of Dortmund, West Germany and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand in 1994.
In 1986, Mr Dorjee first started working as Program Officer of Appropriate Technology for Tibetans (ApTT) program where he served for 5 years. Later he was appointed as Planning Officer of Department of Home, CTA from 1994 – 2004 and served in Department of Education from 2005 – 2009. He was then appointed as Secretary (Administration), Department of Security, Central Tibetan Administration from 2010 to 2013.
From 2014, he has been serving as Secretary of Social and Resource Development Fund (SARD), Department of Finance, CTA.
