School Heads Meet, Finance Department to Hold Workshop for Accountants
Dharamshala 16 May 2005: The Department of Education held a two-day meeting of the heads of the various Tibetan schools in exile beginning on Saturday. At the meeting, the heads of the schools discussed many issues concerning school administration and exchanged views and opinions among themselves and the department. They placed before the department the problems facing their schools.

The rectors of the six major Central Schools for Tibetans met today with the various sections of the Department of Education to discuss various issues ranging from last year’s resolutions to school budget to school admission procedures and auditing rules and regulations. Another meeting will be held this afternoon which will be participated by the heads of the Tibetan schools in Nepal.
Meanwhile, the Department of Finance has decided to hold a two-day workshop for the accountants of the Central Tibetan Administration on 20 and 21 May. The accountants will be given tips on preparing budgetary reports for their offices, a report sent by the department said. The accountants will also discuss the draft financial manual of the Central Tibetan Administration.
