1. Evelina Family Tibetan Scholarship, US – 2011During
the visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at Hawkeye Community College
(Waterloo, Iowa, US) in May 2010, Ms. Evelina Chan and family
(Urbandale, Iowa) has promised to sponsor four years of undergraduate
scholarship for one Tibetan school graduate of 2010. Out of 10 eligible
applicants, Ms Rigzin Wangchuk from TCV Gopalpur has been selected for
the scholarship after the selection test (written test and interview)
held on 22/02/2011 and 23/02/2011 respectively. She will leave for the
US in August 2011.2. Maribor Scholarship, Slovenia- 2011The
selection test based on Tibetan and English general written test
followed by interview for the Maribor Scholarship for one Tibetan
school graduate of 2010 has been completed. Of the 5 candidates, Mr.
Shawoe Thar from TCV Dharamsala Cantt. has been selected for the
scholarship. He will leave India to study at the Maribor University,
Slovenia in August 2011. 3. The Annual DoE Scholarship Announcement 2011The
announcement for the Annual DoE Scholarship for the year 2011 has been
made on March 28. It is open for Tibetan students pursuing further
studies in various colleges and universities in India. The last date
for submission of application form is May 31, 2011 for undergraduate
students and August 31, 2011 for Post Graduate students. 4. Songtsen Scholarship Announcement: March 28, 2011This
scholarship is especially for the poor, underprivileged and destitute
families funded by the Dalai Lama Trust. The last date for submission
of application form is May 31, 2011 for undergraduate students and
