Dharamshala: On the election of the new CTA President Sikyong Penpa Tsering, friends and supporters of Tibet from around the world joined in wishing the new Tibetan leadership success and reaffirming their commitment to the just cause of Tibet.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in her congratulatory letter message wrote, “Let me sincerely congratulate you on winning the election and assuming the office of the President of the Central Tibetan Administration!”
Balgan Aylana, Chairman of the TROO “Friends of Tibet” wished Sikyong congratulations on his victory in the democratic elections and expressed optimism in working with the new leadership to advocate for the Tibetan cause globally.
Similarly, Elena Bartanova, President of the St. Petersburg PO “Society of Friends of Tibet” congratulated the Sikyong on his election and wished him “resolute success in his work for the benefit of all the Tibetan people”.
Murat Aubakirov, Head of the Society of Friends of Tibet in Kazakhstan extended congratulations on behalf of the Friends of Tibet in Kazakhstan to Sikyong Penpa Tsering and expressed solidarity and hopes for a future free Tibet. “We have always supported and will continue to support the Central Tibetan Government in exile.”
Yang Jianli, Founder and President, Citizen Power Initiatives for China in his congratulatory letter wrote,”the arduous struggle of Tibetans has earned the admiration of the entire world. The Tibetan people’s struggle is an important part of the history of human beings peacefully resisting tyranny and slavery to fight for freedom and equality. With tenacity and resolve, the Tibetan people have vastly expanded the spiritual horizons and moral courage of us all. I believe that under your leadership, the cause of freedom for Tibetans will continue to make significant progress and gain even more support from the international community and the Chinese people”.
“Citizen Power Initiatives for China will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with our Tibetan brothers and sisters in our shared pursuit of freedom”.
He concluded by extending prayers for the good health of His Holiness Dalai Lama.
