Rousing Welcome to His Holiness in Ulan Bator City

Dharamshala: Over 30,000 people had gathered at the Gadan Thekchen Ling Monastery in the Mongolian capital of Ulan Bator yesterday to welcome His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
In his brief speech at the gathering, His Holiness the Dalai Lama called on the Mongolians and the people of Himalayan region to preserve Buddhism, which is their traditional religion.

Mongolians have historic old ties with Tibetan Buddhism and they hold His Holiness the Dalai Lama in high esteem.The preparations they made for His Holiness’ visit is an indication that they have waited long for His Holiness’ visit to their country.
Faithfuls put posters of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, wishing him long life, and traditional drawings on the grounds on the main road from airport to the Gadan Thekchen Ling Monastery.

From today onwards His Holiness the Dalai Lama will give teachings for six days. Besides His Holiness is scheduled to give a public talk this afternoon after the teaching.
