
DHARAMSHALA: The Central Tibetan Administration has announced a reshuffle of officials in the Representative offices of His Holiness the Dalai Lama based in Japan and Australia.
Mr. Lungtok, Joint Secretary at the Department of Security, Central Tibetan Administration has been appointed as the new Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the Office of Tibet, Japan. He will be taking charge of the office from 16 June 2014.
Mr. Lungtok joined the Central Tibetan Administration in 2006. He was appointed as the Deputy Secretary at the Office of Tibet, Japan on special appointment. Prior to his official appointment, he has served four years at the same office on contractual basis. He was transferred to the Department of Security based in Dharamshala in 2013.
Mr. Lhakpa Tshoko, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the Office of Tibet, Japan has been transferred to the Office of Tibet, Australia. He will take charge as the new Representative from 25 June 2014.

Mr. Lhakpa Tshoko joined the Central Tibetan Administration in 1982 as an office assistant at the Dickyling Tibetan settlement office. He was transferred to the office of Tibet, Japan where he served from 1984- 2001. From 2001 to 2007, he worked at the Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, New Delhi. He was transferred back to the Office of Tibet, Japan as the representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 2007.
The incumbent Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the office of Tibet, Australia, Mr. Sonam Norbu Dagpo, has been transferred to the Department of Information and International Relations in Dharamshala. He will take charge as the new Secretary of the Department from 02 July 2014.
