Dharamshala: The Department of Religion and Culture organised a workshop on Research Methodology for the third batch of the Buddhist Studies Research Programme.
This four-day workshop held from 2-5 May in Dharamshala was participated by 18 scholars and the resource persons of the training include Geshe Lhador (Director of LTWA), Dr Geshe Lobsang Dorje Rabling (Research Assist. at CIHTS), Ju Tenkyong (Director of Amnye Machen), Geshe Lobsang Monlam (Founder of Monlam Tibetan IT Research Center) and Dr Tenzin Desal (Senior Researcher at TPI).
Secretary Chemi Tseyang, Additional Secretary Dudul Dorje and six members of the special group of religious experts attended the inaugural session.
The workshop was held as part of the Department of Religion and Culture’s efforts to encourage in-depth study of the Tibetan canons on the direction of His Holiness the Dalai Lama during the 11th biannual conference of the leaders of the four schools of Tibetan Buddhism and Bon religion in 2011.
