Geneva: UN Advocacy Officer Phuntsok Topgyal and Chinese Liaison Officer for European countries Sangay Kyab attended the Taiwan National Day celebration in Geneva on the evening of 8 October 2025, representing the Tibet Bureau.

The event, organised by the Taiwan Representative Office in Geneva, was attended by distinguished guests from several countries.

During the celebration, the two deputies extended their congratulations on the occasion and engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening ties between the Tibet Bureau and the Taiwan Representative Office, as well as exploring possibilities for future collaboration.

As part of the ceremony, the Representative of the Taiwan Representative Office delivered an official address. In his keynote speech, he highlighted Taiwan’s global contributions and its current geopolitical standing on the international stage.

With the presence of many international officials, the two representatives from the Tibet Bureau also held side meetings with prominent guests from various countries, discussing the Tibetan issue and exploring future approaches to support work related to Tibet.
