Washington DC: Representative Ngodup Tsering attended, for the first time, the 110th National Day Celebration of ROC (Taiwan) on the evening of 6 October 2021. The celebration was held at the impressive Twin Oaks Estate which used to be the official residence of the nine Ambassadors of the Republic of China ( Taiwan) to the US prior to 1979. It was a colourful event graced by congressional leaders, ambassadors and diplomats, presidents of NGOs and prominent people from the area and Taiwan.
Representative met with Ambassador, Bi Khim Hsiao of Taiwan who is a great friend and supporter of the Tibetan cause and champion of freedom and democracy. Representative Ngodup Tsering met with Nury Turkel, Vice Chair, the US Commissioner for International Religious Freedom, and Ambassador Derek Mitchell, the President of National Democratic Institute(NDI) among others.
