Representative Ngodup Tsering with Rebecca Hoffberger
Washington DC: Representative Ngodup Tsering was invited by Rebecca Hoffberger, the founding director of the award winning American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, to the museum’s “Healing and Compassion exhibition”, which will be displayed until September 2022.
Rebecca is a longtime admirer of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. They first crossed paths in 1956 when she was 5 years old and many years later at a museum directors’ meeting arranged by the Smithsonian Institute. His Holiness’ commitment to promoting compassion worldwide was the inspiration behind creating the exhibition. A huge photograph of His Holiness the Dalai Lama greets visitors as they enter the museum, while many of His Holiness’s quotes are displayed throughout the exhibition.

Jon Kolkin with his book “ Inner Harmony”
The exhibition also features rare and intimate photographs taken by Dr. Jon Kolkins over 13 years primarily while he was engaged in medical humanitarian work throughout Asia. The series of photographs has received 20 awards worldwide. His recent book, “Inner Harmony: Living in Balance”, uses these photographs to explore universal principles central to living a less stressful, more balanced life, regardless of one’s spiritual beliefs. It was recently honoured with second place for ‘Best Documentary Book’ during the 2021 International Photography Awards. The book features inspiring forewords by His Holiness and the Queen mother of Bhutan.
Dr. Jon is a great admirer of His Holiness and friend and supporter of Tibet. He has committed to donate all proceeds from book sales to compassion-centered non-profits, including SEE-Learning. Check Here for the book: https://www.accartbooks.com/us/book/inner-harmony/
